SUTHERLIN POLICE JAIL MAN FOR ALLEGED ASSAULT INCIDENT LATE SATURDAY NIGHT

Sutherlin Police jailed a man for an alleged assault incident on Saturday night.

An SPD report said just after 10:00 p.m. there was a verbal disturbance between the suspect and a victim in the parking lot of a business in the 200 block of West Central Avenue. 38-year-old Trevor Carlson allegedly purposefully ran into the victim with his car, lifting the victim off of the ground onto the hood of his vehicle, and moving her back multiple feet before stopping.

Carlson was contacted and admitted to lunging his vehicle at the victim. He was arrested and charged with attempted second-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon, reckless driving and reckless endangering. Carlson was detained without bail.
