A Days Creek man was jailed Friday evening for an alleged prior assault incident.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said on November 30th a victim claimed she was in a physical disturbance with the 55-year-old. The victim stated that the suspect hit her in the face several times and at one point threw her on the ground and continued to hit her. The victim’s right eye was swollen as well as the right side of her face. A deputy attempted to contact the man at his residence in the 19100 block of Tiller Trail Highway but was unable to do so.

The suspect was taken into custody at 5:50 p.m. Friday. He was charged with 4th-degree assault. The man was detained without bail.
