A Roseburg man was cited on two charges following a single-vehicle accident early Thursday.
A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 4:30 a.m. the 19-year-old was driving his pickup in the 1100 block of Happy Valley Road in Green when he apparently lost control of the vehicle, causing it to rollover. The man said he didn’t remember losing control of the pickup but admitted to drinking at a friend’s house prior to getting in his vehicle.
He consented to performing standard field sobriety tests and reportedly performed poorly. He was taken into custody for driving under the influence of an intoxicant and for being a minor in possession of alcohol. The driver was transported to corrections for purposes of a breath test. He provided a breath sample that had a blood alcohol level of 0.11 percent.
The man was cited and released to a family member. A tow company responded to take possession of the pickup.
