SUTHERLIN POLICE JAIL MAN FOLLOWING REPORTED DISTURBANCE

Sutherlin Police jailed a man following a reported disturbance on Saturday night.

An SPD report released on Wednesday said the 57-year-old was detained after allegedly throwing a bottle of alcohol at a victim in the 500 block of West Second Avenue. The incident reportedly caused an injury to the victim’s hand.

The incident was over the victim’s dog allegedly being menacing to the suspect, and the suspect confronting the victim over the issue.

The man was charged with fourth-degree assault. He was released on Monday.
