Roseburg Police jailed a man following a reported theft incident on Sunday.

An RPD report said at 5:50 p.m. the 29-year-old man was allegedly seen on camera stealing a sweatshirt from a business in the 700 block of Northeast Garden Valley Boulevard and fleeing in a sedan. Officers contacted the suspect during a traffic stop in the 2500 block of Northeast Stephens Street and saw that he was still wearing the stolen clothing.

The man had two active warrants and was taken into custody. He was charged with the warrants, and third-degree theft. The man was cited for driving while suspended-violation and driving uninsured. Bail was set at $7,255.
