No charges were filed after an SUV hit a Douglas County Sheriff’s Office vehicle Tuesday night.
An Oregon State Police report said at 6:40 p.m. the patrol vehicle with emergency lights activated, was blocking the eastbound lane of the 3700 block of Del Rio Road, northwest of Roseburg. The patrol vehicle was assisting a tow company in recovering a vehicle from a previous crash.
A sedan was eastbound on Del Rio Road and failed to slow for the emergency vehicles, crashing into the rear of the patrol vehicle. The driver was investigated for DUII, but it was determined that he was not impaired.
OSP handled this case as it involved a Douglas County Sheriff’s Office vehicle.
