A Dillard woman was jailed for reported criminal mischief on Tuesday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said just after 3:30 p.m. a victim returned to his motorhome in the 100 block of Cobb Street in Dillard and found the door to be locked. The man used a hatchet to gain access. A suspect then confronted the victim, took the hatchet, and allegedly busted the window of the motorhome’s door as well as the windshield of the victim’s pickup.

When a deputy arrived the 52-year-old suspect admitted to busting the windows with the hatchet. The woman was taken into custody without incident. She was charged with first-degree criminal mischief and detained without bail.
