ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN AFTER THEFT OF GATORADES

Roseburg Police jailed a man after an overnight incident near downtown early Tuesday.

An RPD report said at 2:30 a.m. officers responded to the courthouse on Southeast Douglas Avenue after a caller said a man had been seen taking items out of a truck bed. The 43-year-old was contacted and admitted to taking two Gatorades from the vehicle that didn’t belong to him.

He was charged with unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, third-degree theft and a probation violation. The man was detained on $3,000 bail.
