Roseburg Police jailed a man for a reported harassment incident on Friday.

An RPD report said just after 10:20 a.m. officers responded to T-Mart in the 1500 block of West Harvard Avenue. A victim claimed the suspect had punched her left knee after she gave him money and a coffee. An officer looked at the victim’s knee which was red and appearing to bruise.

The man was contacted and admitted to part of the story but denied hitting the woman. He was taken into custody without incident. The man was charged with harassment and a parole violation. Bail was set at $2,500.
