Roseburg Police cited a man for prohibited camping on Thursday.

An RPD report said at 12:00 p.m. the 44-year-old was contacted in his tent on the hillside just south of the Roseburg Regional Airport, near the corner of Northwest Stewart Parkway and Northwest Fairmount Street.

The man claimed he did not consider this camping, because he said he did not camp there overnight.

The man was released after being cited. He packed up his camp by the time the officer ended their contact with him.
