Roseburg Police cited a man for depositing trash within 100 yards of a waterway and prohibited camping on Thursday.

An RPD report said at 10:00 a.m. the 34-year-old was contacted bedded down in the Gaddis Park pavilion in the 800 block of Northwest Highland Street. There was trash, numerous wagons and carts, and large piles of debris surrounding the man, which totaled about three pickup truck loads.

The area where the man had set up the camp was about 75 yards from the year-round creek which flows through the park.

The man was released after the citations were issued.
