The Friendly Kitchen/Meals on Wheels Roseburg has partnered with Bridgewood Rivers Assisted Living for a holiday sock drive.

Sock collection boxes are located at Bridgewood Rivers on Northwest Hughwood Street and at the Umpqua Community College campus cafeteria. All donated socks will be part of Meals on Wheels Roseburg’s annual holiday gift bags for their 200 plus clients. Each year, Meals on Wheels Roseburg provides their clients with a warm blanket, socks and/or a beanie, along with a treat from the kitchen.

Those who donate at Bridgewood Rivers will receive a voucher for a complimentary lunch in their dining room during the winter season.

Friendly Kitchen/Meals on Wheels Executive Director Victory Webber said, “Collaborating with local businesses, like Bridgewood Rivers, provides support for annual projects and a little something extra during the holiday season. We are very grateful for Bridgewood Rivers support”
