Roseburg Police cited a man for depositing trash within 100 yards of a waterway and for prohibited camping on Tuesday.

An RPD report said at 11:40 a.m. the 26-year-old was contacted in his tent at Gaddis Park in the 800 block of Northwest Highland Street. The camp was surrounded by trash, debris, possessions and a large amount of split wood for burning. The tent was set up approximately 25 feet from the edge of a year-round creek.

After being cited, the man was issued trash bags and informed that if the mess was still there on Wednesday, he would be arrested.
