SUTHERLIN MAN JAILED FOLLOWING ALLEGED TRESPASS INCIDENT

A Sutherlin man was jailed following an alleged trespass incident on Wednesday night.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 8:00 p.m. the 35-year-old was called in for allegedly harassing customers and threatening employees at a business on John Long Road in Rice Hill. He reportedly refused to leave when asked to by the manager. Two deputies trespassed the man from the property.

The suspect returned at 11:30 p.m. and was called in again. A deputy contacted the man and arrested him without incident. He was allegedly found to be in possession of 0.4 grams of methamphetamine.

The man was taken to corrections and charged with second-degree criminal trespass, unlawful possession of meth and a parole violation. He was detained without bail.
