Safe Haven Maternity Home has announced that it has received a generous donation from Umpqua Dairy.
A Safe Haven release said the donation will significantly support the mission of the non-profit to provide a safe home environment and aftercare services to pregnant women and mothers of young children in crisis.
Safe Haven Executive Director Evie Kumar said the donation demonstrates Umpqua Dairy’s dedication to community welfare. Kumar said it will directly impact the lives of families by providing a safe home with around-the-clock staff to support mothers and their children. It will also help provide essential support and services for the residents through their in-home classes, nutritious food, transportation, and follow-up support when they leave Safe Haven.
Kumar said, “We are incredibly grateful for Umpqua Dairy’s generosity. This contribution will help us continue our mission to provide a safe and nurturing environment for mothers and their children”.
The release said the partnership between Safe Haven Maternity Home and Umpqua Dairy highlights the importance of local businesses in supporting non-profit organizations and fostering a caring community. The donation provides immediate relief and helps build a foundation for long-term support for families in need. Kumar said the donation was significant for their program, but Umpqua Dairy has requested that the amount not be mentioned.
