ROSEBURG POLICE CITE TWO PEOPLE FOR OVERNIGHT DRINKING IN PUBLIC

Roseburg Police cited two people for overnight drinking in public incidents early Tuesday.

An RPD report said at 2:50 a.m. officers contacted a 70-year-old man in the 900 block of Northeast Rowe Avenue after officers saw multiple empty beer cans and whiskey bottles around him. The man was allegedly highly intoxicated and had a half-full beer next to him. He was released after being cited.

At 3:00 a.m. officers contacted a 34-year-old woman at Gaddis Park in the 800 block of Northwest Highland Avenue after seeing her with an open beer. The woman reportedly admitted the alcohol was hers and poured it out. She was released after being given a citation.
