Roseburg Police cited a man for prohibited camping on Monday afternoon.

An RPD report said at 3;00 p.m. the 43-year-old was contacted at his camp at the duck pond in the 1000 block of Northeast Garden Valley Boulevard. The camp consisted of a tarp/tent structure in the brush at the far southwest corner of the property. The camp was set up about 10 feet from the water’s edge and was surrounded by about one truckload of debris.

The man was released after being given the citation.
