The Roseburg High School Marching Ensemble competed in the annual Festival of Bands at Autzen Stadium in Eugene on Saturday, taking 10th place overall.

A release from the band program said the site served as one of two marching band championship sites for the region. Split across two stadiums, RHS competed against 33 other teams. RHS missed being in the top 5 by only 2 points out of 100. The band received high marks for their marching, show design and color guard. In addition, the band set a new school record for highest score at a competition.

The marching ensemble will perform at the RHS Finlay Field Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. It will be the last opportunity to view this year’s marching show. The group will perform Monday in the Veteran’s Day parade and will play at all home basketball games this season.
