Roseburg Police jailed a man for offensive littering after contacting him on Sunday.

An RPD report said at approximately 10:10 a.m. officers went to the man’s camp in Deer Creek Park, in the 200 block of Southeast Pine Street. The area was allegedly covered with trash, rubbish and other refuse. The man claimed the camp was his but refused to identify himself to officers.

He was taken into custody and his girlfriend took possession of the camp with instructions to clean it up. The man was detained on $1,250 bail.
