Nearly 34 percent of registered voters have cast a ballot in the 2024 Douglas County November Presidential Election, as of Tuesday evening.
County Clerk Daniel Loomis said 33.91 percent, or 30,461 ballots have been received. Loomis said that lags 18.36 percent behind the participation rate for the same point in the previous 2020 Douglas County November Presidential General Election.
Loomis said registered voters that have not received their ballot, should contact or visit the Elections Office. Voters can always use one of the 15 official ballot drop sites to return ballots. That includes eight drive-up locations. Loomis said before turning in a ballot, voters should make sure they have reviewed and completed both sides of the ballot. The voter statement must be signed on the ballot return envelope.
On Tuesday, Election Board Members were administered the oath of office and Election Board operations commenced.
