Roseburg Christian Academy has its RCA Track Project underway.

It recently kicked off with a fundraising dinner, dessert and musical event.

Head Coordinator Joyce Ann Perham said it is going to be a challenge to raise the $250,000 needed to replace the decades old track and make other upgrades to the outside space nearby. This includes work on the softball fields and former pee wee soccer fields.

The track is at the school, located at the intersection of Northwest Troost Street and Northwest Calkins Avenue in Hucrest. The track has always been shared with the neighborhood and many residents not connected to the school have used it for walking, running, letting younger kids ride their bikes and more.
