NEARLY 21 PERCENT OF DOUGLAS COUNTY BALLOTS RETURNED

Oregon 26th, 2024 7:00 a.m.

Nearly 21 percent of ballots for the 2024 Douglas County November Presidential General Election have been returned as of Friday evening.

Douglas County Clerk Daniel Loomis said 20.99 percent, or 18,842 ballots have been received. Loomis said that lags 16.9 percent behind the participation rate for the same point in the previous Douglas County November Presidential General Election.

Loomis said registered voters that haven’t received their ballot should contact or visit the Elections Office weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Voters can always use of the 15 official Douglas County ballot drop sites to return their ballot. Those using the U.S. Postal Service should mail their ballot at least one week in advance of Election Day to give their ballot a better opportunity to arrive on time.
