Roseburg Police cited a man for depositing trash within 100 yards of a waterway and prohibited camping on Wednesday morning.

An RPD report said at 10:30 a.m. the 34-year-old was contacted in Gaddis Park in the 800 block of Northwest Highland Street.  The man was found in his tent along the creek which flows through the park. There was a large amount of trash surrounding the man’s camp, only days after a work crew cleaned up the area.

The man’s camp was erected after 8:00 a.m., had numerous items outside the tent and was set up in an area where camping is prohibited. The man was released after the citation was issued.
