A Glide man was jailed following an offensive littering incident early Wednesday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said just after 7:00 a.m. 52-year-old Gordon Moore was contacted near the 700 block of Glide Loop Road after he was called in for allegedly throwing trash down towards the river.

An off-duty Myrtle Creek Police reserve officer was on-scene assisting with the incident. Moore reportedly resisted arrest and was detained in handcuffs. Most of his trash was retrieved from the riverbank and Moore was transported to corrections. The report said the man was clearly high on methamphetamine and his probation officer was advised.

Moore was charged with offensive littering, depositing trash within 100 yards of a waterway, resisting arrest and second-degree criminal trespass. He was detained without bail.
