LEAGUE HOLDING TOWN HALL FOR ROSEBURG CITY COUNCIL ELECTION

October 23, 2024 3:20 a.m.

The League of Women Voters of the Umpqua Valley is hosting a town hall for the upcoming Roseburg City Council election.

The event takes place Wednesday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Ford Room of the Roseburg Public Library. For the first time in many years, Roseburg has two candidates running for each council position, so it will be an opportunity for residents to get to know who they are considering voting for.

The league will moderate the town hall. Each candidate will be allowed a minute to introduce themselves, before written questions from the audience will be taken. Audience members can write out their questions before the event gets started. As the league is a nonpartisan non-profit organization, all questions must be non-partisan in nature.
