In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:
An increase in fiscal year 2024 donations and an administrative budget allocation revision resulted in close to a $1 million increase in Cultural Trust grant awards, according to a release from the Oregon Cultural Trust.
$3.85 million has been awarded to Oregon cultural trust organizations for fiscal year 2025.
The $3.85 million includes awards to 148 arts, heritage and humanities organizations across the state. Among them is nearly $963,000 for the Cultural Trust’s five statewide partners and an identical grant for 45 County and Tribal Cultural Coalitions – who award an average of 450 additional awards annually in their communities.
In addition, over $1.92 million in competitive Cultural Development Program grants were awarded to 98 cultural nonprofits serving most geographic regions of the state.
