A motorcyclist was taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle accident Monday afternoon.

A Roseburg Police report said at 4:45 p.m. officers responded to the crash at the intersection of Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard and Northeast Fowler Street. A juvenile driver was stopped on Fowler Street waiting to make a left turn onto Diamond Lake Boulevard.

The driver did not see the motorcyclist and proceeded to turn directly in front of the bike. Their vehicles collided into the intersection and the 57-year-old rider was thrown from the bike. He was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center via ambulance and was later transferred to Peace Health Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend in Springfield. The rider was listed in fair condition at last check, by a hospital spokesperson.

The motorist was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.
