The Umpqua Valley continues to have above normal high temperatures for this part of October, with the potential to reach near a record high for the date on Monday.
Forecasters at the National Service told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that the mercury is expected to reach near 90 degrees on Monday. The record high temperature for Roseburg on October 7th is 92 degrees, set in 1936. The normal high temperature for this part of October is 72 degrees.
Tuesday is slated to cool to 80 degrees as a drizzling front approaches the region. There is a chance of showers Wednesday, but precipitation is more likely on Friday and Saturday.
