A teen was taken to the hospital following a single-vehicle crash on Wednesday afternoon.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 3:00 p.m. the 18-year-old female from Roseburg was heading east on Dairy Loop Road when her vehicle approached a 90-degree turn. The teen thought she was taking the turn too wide, so panicked and slammed on the brakes. This caused the large SUV to hit the gravel, and the driver to lose control of the vehicle.

The SUV continued into the ditch and rolled over. The driver said she was uninjured but opted to be transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center for evaluation, due to the extent of the crash.
