The Oregon State University Extension Service and Master Food Preservers are offering a pressure canning workshop on Saturday, November 9th at the Elkton Community Education Center.
An extension release said novice and expert food preservationists alike flounder when it comes time to use a pressure canner. Whether a fisherman looking to preserve their catch or someone just wanting to learn for the first time, those attending will be schooled on the latest, most efficient pressure canning techniques.
The class will run from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Registration is required and must be completed by November 1st.
