Roseburg Public Schools has named Jeff Eichenbusch as the new security coordinator for the district.

Eichenbusch has lived in Douglas County since he was 3 years old. After graduating from Umpqua Valley Christian School in 1992, he pursued his education at Western Oregon University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in Business Administration in 1996.

Shortly after graduation, Eichenbusch began a 28-year career with the Roseburg Police Department, where he held a variety of roles. That included patrol officer, school resource officer, detective, corporal, sergeant and public information officer/training coordinator. Eichenbusch’s duties extended to specialized teams, serving as a field training officer, hazardous materials first response instructor, emergency response team member and as both a member and commander of the hostage negotiations team

A district social media post said, “We are excited to welcome Jeff and look forward to his expertise and leadership in ensuring a safe and secure environment for our schools”.
