The City of Roseburg Public Works Department has an update on two projects impacting motorists.
Paving work is underway on Northeast Stephens Street as roadway improvement and water main transmission line projects begin to wrap up
The southbound lane of Northeast Stephens between Northeast Isabell Avenue and Northeast Newton Creek Road is expected to be closed overnight for up to two weeks, depending on the weather. During the construction crew’s working hours, the southbound lane of Northeast Stephens will be closed. Flaggers will route traffic through the work zone. Electronic signs will be posted on the roadway to notify motorists of project hours.
Road work on Southeast Douglas Avenue in downtown Roseburg continues overnights with road base repairs that began on Sunday night.
Two-way traffic and traffic flow will be maintained, but there could be lanes closed and/or shifted with help from flaggers on Southeast Douglas from Southeast Rose Street to Southeast Main Street. The work is expected to be completed early this month.
