ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR TWO COUNTS OF FIRST-DEGREE THEFT

Roseburg Police jailed a man for two counts of first-degree theft on Friday afternoon.

An RPD report said shortly after 12:30 p.m. officers contacted the 69-year-old in the 2800 block of Northeast Douglas Avenue after a caller claimed the man had stolen a bicycle and pawned it.

The man admitted he had pawned the bike and admitted that it did not belong to him. He was taken into custody and transported to corrections. He was detained without bail and was released on Sunday.
