Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged theft from a store, early Monday.

An RPD report said at 12:15 a.m. officers were flagged down by an employee in the 2700 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway and were informed the suspect had just stolen some items from the business. The 37-year-old was detained a short distance away and was taken into custody without incident.

The man was charged with second-degree theft. Bail was set at $6,200.
