The Glendale School District is resuming classes Monday after being closed Thursday while the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office completed a full investigation of a possible threat made to the school via social media.
Superintendent Bridget McMillen said DCSO has determined that there is no evidence of a threat to the school and no further investigation is required. To support students and staff, additional personnel from the Douglas Education Service District and DCSO will be present at both schools.
McMillen said, “The well-being of our students, staff and community remains our top priority”. McMillen said, “The district will continue to utilize all available resources and partnerships to maintain a safe environment for everyone”.
