Roseburg Police cited a woman for a dog leash law violation on Monday.

An RPD report said officers saw the 42-year old’s puppy running through Deer Creek Park in the 500 block of Northeast Stephens Street multiple times throughout the day while not on a leash.

Shortly after 12:00 p.m. the puppy ran up to the woman, who yelled at officers that the dog was not her responsibility because she temporarily asked someone else to watch the dog for her.

The woman was cited and released on the scene.
