The Winston Dillard Melon Festival is happening Friday through Sunday at Riverbend Park.

The annual celebration began in 1969. This year’s theme is “Cruisin 42”

Hours are Friday 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Events this year include live music, a talent show, kids games, bicycle rodeo, melon eating contest and more. There will be food and craft vendors all three days. The parade is scheduled for Saturday at 11:00 a.m. It will go from Main Street to Riverbend Park.
