Two people were taken to the hospital following an assault incident Thursday night.
A Roseburg Police report said at 7:20 p.m. officers responded to the Super 8 Motel in the 3200 block of Northwest Aviation Drive after a caller said there was a disturbance between two guests. Officers found 25-year-old Cory Polzen of Vancouver, Washington and 63-year-old Willliam Polzen of McMinnville, in the motel lobby both covered in blood.
Officers learned that William Polzen allegedly stabbed Cory Polzen several times in his abdomen, during a fight inside their room. William reportedly sustained head injuries due to numerous punches from Cory.
Both were transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center. Cory Polzen was later charged with fourth-degree assault. He was detained on $6,250 bail and released late Friday.
