Two people were taken to the hospital following an assault incident Thursday night, and the investigation is ongoing.

A Roseburg Police report said at 7:20 p.m. officers responded to the Super 8 Motel in the 3200 block of Northwest Aviation Drive after said there was a disturbance between two guests. Officers found 25-year-old Cory Polzen of Vancouver, Washington and 63-year-old Willliam Polzen of McMinnville, in the motel lobby both covered in blood.

Officers learned that William Polzen allegedly stabbed Cory Polzen several times in his abdomen, during a fight inside their room. William sustained head injuries due to numerous punches from Cory.

Both were transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center.
