Umpqua Community College is celebrating its 60th anniversary with events all day on Saturday.

Pre-events include Paint the Town Green activities in downtown Roseburg on Friday, a car show hosted by the Roseburg Elks Lodge Saturday morning beginning at 9:00 a.m. and a 5K run at UCC starting at 10:00 a.m. which is open to the community.
The main celebration goes from 12:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the school’s campus.
There will be a Kid’s Zone until 6:00 p.m. with a variety of activities for families. An alumni volleyball game is at 12:00 p.m. with an alumni basketball game at 2:00 p.m. Live entertainment will be featured at the Swanson Amphitheatre throughout the day. That includes a number of groups with music, dance and more. The Brothers Doobie, a cover band from Massachusetts, will take the stage at 6:00 p.m.
From 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. UCC academic programs will be showcased in Lockwood Hall. There will be a History Walk, food trucks and a beer and a wine garden as well.
The Paul Morgan Observatory will be open for star gazing to wrap up the day, between 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
