Roseburg Police jailed a man for a parole violation on Wednesday.

An RPD report said at 10:50 a.m. officers contacted the 39-year-old as he was allegedly drinking an alcoholic beverage near the intersection of Southeast Oak Avenue and Southeast Spruce Street. His parole officer authorized a detainer and he was taken into custody.

The man was also issued his second city exclusion notice. He was detained without bail.
