ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR FOURTH-DEGREE ASSAULT

Roseburg Police jailed a man Saturday on the charge of fourth-degree assault for a previous incident.

An RPD report said after an investigation, officers determined that during that incident, the 34-year-old had picked up a victim and slammed her into the ground several times, resulting in physical injury to her hand and face. The man was taken into custody just after 11:00 a.m. in the 2500 block of Northeast Stephens Street.

Bail was set at $6,250.
