Cooler than normal temperatures and some rain is ahead for the Umpqua Valley.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that it will be a back-and-forth weather pattern for the next several days with a mix of rainy and dry conditions.

Thursday the mercury reached 71 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport. .03 inches of rain was recorded.
