Three people were taken to the hospital following a three-vehicle wreck on Monday afternoon.
A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report released late Wednesday said just after 1:20 p.m. a Roseburg man was traveling south in the 4000 block of Garden Valley Road when a vehicle driven by another Roseburg man pulled out from a store near the intersection with Curry Road and attempted to turn left onto Garden Valley.
The first vehicle was unable to stop in time and crashed into front driver side of the second vehicle. The first vehicle continued for over approximately 90 yards and crashed into the fence of a second business. After being struck, the second vehicle spun around into the store’s parking lot and struck a third vehicle. The damage to the third vehicle was not significant. Both the other vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
The drivers of the first two vehicles and a passenger in the second vehicle were transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center. The driver who caused the accident was cited for a traffic violation.
