One person was transported to the hospital after a single vehicle wreck early Thursday.

A Roseburg Police report said shortly before 1:00 a.m. officers responded to a crash in the 900 block of Northeast Garden Valley Boulevard. Upon arrival officers observed a vehicle on the shoulder with heavy front-end damage. The car was driven by a 40-year Roseburg man, who stated that he went off the road when a tire blew out. After leaving the roadway, the vehicle collided with a light pole. The report said it appeared that speed played a factor in the crash.

A passenger in the car was taken to CHI Mercy Medical Center for apparent minor injuries. The driver was cited for careless driving and driving uninsured. The car was towed.
