An Oakland woman was taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle accident on Thursday morning.

A Roseburg Police report said at approximately 6:25 a.m. an officer was in the area of Southeast Stephens Street and Southeast Douglas Avenue and saw a pickup fail to stop while traveling north on Stephens while going through the intersection. The pickup, driven by a Coquille man, collided with an SUV driven by an Oakland woman who was heading eastbound on Douglas. The SUV struck a traffic pole near the intersection.

The woman was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center for suspected minor injuries. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. The driver who caused the wreck was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.

One lane of Stephens and the intersection with Douglas were closed for a time while the accident scene was cleaned up.
