Late Wednesday morning, the Umpqua National Forest issued a closure order on the Tiller Ranger District in response to the Devil’s Knob Fire.

A UNF release said the closure order is in addition to a prior closure order which is still in effect to protect public and firefighter safety. Currently every district of the forest is impacted by a partial closure. Under the closure order a number of acts are prohibited upon roads, trails, and general forest areas within the UNF.
