ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL WOMAN FOLLOWING AFTERNOON COMMUTE WRECK

Roseburg Police jailed a woman following a traffic wreck during the afternoon commute on Tuesday.

An RPD report said just after 5:30 p.m. officers responded to the intersection of Northeast Garden Valley Boulevard and Northeast Cedar Street after a caller said that an SUV was being driven erratically and had crashed into a curb. Officers contacted the 36-year-old driver who claimed she swerved to avoid another vehicle and subsequently hit the curb. Her driving status was driving while suspended misdemeanor.

She was taken into custody. She was also cited for driving uninsured and careless driving. Bail was set at $6,250.
