An Air Quality Alert issued by the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality remains in place through 5:00 p.m. Wednesday.
The advisory is in effect for eastern Douglas, northern Klamath and northern Lake counties.
Wildfires burning in the region combined with forecast conditions will cause air quality levels to fluctuate and could be at unhealthy levels.
Smoke levels can change rapidly depending on the weather. People at risk include infants and young children, people with heart or lung disease, older adults and those who are pregnant.
