IDLEYLD PARK MAN DIES IN A TWO-VEHICLE ACCIDENT

An Idleyld Park man died in a two-vehicle accident early Monday morning.

An Oregon State Police report said shortly after 6:00 a.m. troopers responded to the wreck on Highway 138E near milepost 18, approximately one mile east of Glide.

The preliminary investigation indicated that a motorcycle, operated by 38-year-old Thomas Lee Bailey, was traveling westbound on Highway 138E when an eastbound vehicle, driven by 66-year-old Randolph Belloir of Roseburg, turned in front of the motorcycle. The two vehicles collided head-on in the westbound lane.

Bailey was declared deceased at the scene.

Belloir was not injured and cooperated with the law enforcement investigation.

The highway was impacted for approximately three hours for the on-scene investigation.

OSP was assisted by the Glide Fire Department, the National Park Service and the Oregon Department of Transportation.
