ROSEBURG POLICE CITE MAN FOR LITTER/CAMPING CHARGES

Roseburg Police cited a man for litter and camping charges on Thursday.

An RPD report said at 1:40 p.m. a 50-year-old man was found with a large 10-foot by 10-foot pile of trash and debris next to the east entrance of the Roseburg Police Library on Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard. The man also had a sleeping area set up under the Fowler Street Bridge, about 125 feet away.

The man was cited and released on the scene for depositing trash within 100 yards of a waterway and prohibited camping. He was instructed to clean up his mess.
